This is a work from a pivotal time in Picasso's artistic experiments. He had formulated new ways of representing the human body, and of seeing it through multiple perspectives at once. This is in some way used in his future works to model both the body and the space it inhabits.
Framed and glazed; Parsonage Studio’s custom mount, elevated over black; bearing their crown stamp to verso. Italian wood frame with linseed finishing.
