  • In near fine condition, without colour loss or fading. Scarce in this condition.
  • The flute player was a recurring classical hybrid figure which Picasso used to merge human and animal instincts. By 1948, this motif had transitioned from the darker, more aggressive Minotaur of the 1930s into a more joyful, serene spirit of renewal following World War II.
  • Framed and glazed; ultra modern black frame with acid free mount.
  • Image, 18.2x14.3cm; external, 34.9x30.3cm.
