PICASSO, Pablo
Faune Jouant de la Diaule; in first edition collotype, published by Mourlot, Paris in1948.
Description
Collotype in multicolour.
The original work was part of a burst of creativity at the Musée Grimaldi in Antibes. Picasso had just moved to the South of France and was deeply influenced by the Mediterranean atmosphere and ancient Greek mythology. This contrasts the sombre tone of his wartime art.
In near fine condition, without colour loss or fading. Scarce in this condition.
Framed and glazed.
