Original white typographic wrappers printed in red and blue, decorative geometric border to margins, crossed Union Jack and Stars and Stripes flags to lower half. Mild age-toning and faint foxing to clean wrappers, light rust transfer to staples, internal pages bright. A near-fine, remarkably well-preserved survival.

This exceptional item represents a vital artifact from the foundational era of the modern professional pro-tour circuit. In the summer of 1947, promoter Jack Harris orchestrated a high-stakes transatlantic tour headlined by the sport's greatest touring professionals. The 1947 tour marked a watershed in tennis history: it was the first time elite women professionals were packaged as equal marquee draws alongside the men.
Donald Budge (1915–2000) was the first player to win the calendar-year Grand Slam (1938); his fiercest rival, Bobby Riggs (1918–1995), would later achieve global mainstream fame in the 1973 "Battle of the Sexes". Facing them in the ladies' singles and mixed doubles exhibitions were Pauline Betz (1919–2011), the reigning 1946 Wimbledon Singles Champion, and Sarah Palfrey-Cooke (1912–1996), a winner of 18 Grand Slam titles. Both women had forfeited their amateur status just months prior in 1947 to join the historic professional circuit.
Autographed tournament programmes from the immediate postwar era are uncommon; examples signed in period ink by the complete four-person headline contingent are vanishingly rare.
