Fine lithograph in excellent condition and without colour loss or fading.
This is an original lithograph created at the Atelier Mourlot in Paris. Chagall felt so strongly that his printed work should be seen exactly as intended that he produced 28 original lithographs exclusively for Mourlot so that collectors could experience the true vibrancy of the stone-pressed ink, as opposed to the mass produced poster prints.
Printed to velin d’Arches paper. Near fine condition without toning or spotting. Catalogue Reference: Mourlot 401.
Framed and glazed. Minor wear to frame sides, otherwise excellent. UV resistant art glass with mount elevated over black.
