DU GUERNIER, Louis
- Original woodcut engraving for Act IV, Scene I, of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Plated for J. Tonson in 1780, London.

In response they summon for him three apparitions: an armed head, a bloody child, and finally a child crowned, with a tree in his hand.
- Louis Du Guernier was an important Franco-English engraver, and foremost of his time.
- Custom framed, elevated mount; crown stamped to verso at Parsonage Studios.
- An excellent impression in good condition excepting minor toning and some spotting.
- Image, 13.9x7.7cm; external, 28.6x20.6cm.
