Fine lithograph in black and white, impressed to Lafuma vellum paper. Minor bumping to paper edge, otherwise very good throughout.
The Jacomet lithographs represent a masterclass in 20th-century printing. Daniel Jacomet used a highly specialised, proprietary stencil and lithographic technique. His process was so precise that it perfectly captured the varying pressures, smudges, and delicate line weights of Matisse’s charcoal and ink drawings.
This suite was limited to an edition run of a thousand.
Framed and glazed; contemporary black wooden frame, with UV resistant art glass.
