Description
 
Collotype in black and white printed on velin paper. In fine condition and without fading or spotting. Bright and clean throughout.
Unlike standard commercial printing of the period, which relied on rigid halftone screens that broke images down, the methods here allowed the ink to settle on the paper in direct proportion to the density of the original medium. It translated the subtle erasures, granular detail and the gradients produced by the blending stump.
Framed and glazed with UV resistant art glass.
