- Octavo. First edition, first printing, with the first issue priority indicator (1) on page 365. Bound in full crimson crushed morocco, spine with five raised bands forming six compartments, lettered and decorated in gilt, date ‘1920’ stamped in gilt to tail, covers framed with a single gilt fillet, marbled endpapers.
- A near-fine copy. The binding is fresh, with sharp corners, bright gilt tooling, and clean joints showing no evidence of cracking or shelfwear. Internally clean and bright, with only the expected uniform toning to the paper edge; an exceptionally well-preserved copy of Wharton's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, presented in a fine binding.
